The Dallas Cowboys got off to a tremendous start last season winning 11 straight and finishing overall 13-3, 1st place in the NFC East...and oh yeah, the #1 seed in the playoffs. With next season approaching and the roster starting to take shape, why not visit the future and try and make some "guess-timations."

By virtue of having the best record in the NFL the Dallas Cowboys got served a "1st place schedule" and will face other playoff teams and top seeded opponents making this year no cake walk however, it is winnable and chances of another playoff berth are high. Enough with the chitter chatter, let's dive in #CowboysNation.

-Wk 1 vs NYG (career record 62-45-2)

Matchup to watch :Jannoris Jenkins vs Dez Bryant

Result: Season opener vs a talented defensive team that upgraded significant weapons to help Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. We all know what took place last season getting swept by the division rival, but let's not forget we previously swept them the prior 2 seasons. I do see Dallas starting on the right foot with a week 1 victory.

-Wk 2 @ Denver Broncos (career record 4-7)

Matchup to watch: Ezekiel Elliott vs DEN D

Result: The Broncos haven't exactly established themselves offensively, so the defense can and will get tired versus the grit and downhill rushing attack. Cowboys win wk 2 in convincing fashion.

-Wk 3 @ Arizona Cardinals (career record 55-31-1)

Matchup to watch: David Johnson vs DAL D

Result: The first bump in the road for DAL happens in week 3 in my opinion. Arizona let people down last season and should be looking to bounce back, winning early season games is a way to do it. Dallas falls to 2-1 on the year.

-Wk 4 vs Los Angeles Rams (career record 13-11)

Matchup to watch: DAL OL vs LA DL

Result: No disrespect intended, this one is over midway through the 2nd qtr. Dallas bounces back from the ARI game and roll the Rams. 3-1 on the season, leading up to the biggest game of the 1st half of the season.

-Wk 5 vs Green Bay (career record 13-14)

Matchup to watch: Aaron Rodgers vs DAL Dbs

Result: This is gonna be one hell of a game and in contention for Game Of The Year when its all said and done. Dallas certainly was left with a bad taste following last seasons playoff exit. Though Dallas will trail in the contest a clutch moment delivered by Dak Prescott moves DAL to 4-1.

-Wk 6 BYE WEEK

Matchup to watch: Health Management

Results: 4-1 pretty sweet in Cowboys land.

-Wk 7 vs San Francisco 49ers (career record 12-15-1)

Matchup to watch: Dak Prescott vs SF DBs

Result: After a much needed rest in the bye week Dallas finds themselves in a classic rivalry vs the 9ers. Luckily no Steve Youngs or Jerry Rice type players are there and after the smoke clears it's another drumming and Dallas is 5-1

-Wk 8 @ Washington Redskins (career record 68-42-2)

Matchup to watch: Seriously?? Norman vs Bryant

Result: I'm hating typing this mind you, but look Dez gets locked up vs Norman and has yet to catch a td pass against him. While WAS did lose a few recievers they had a solid draft and should be sharp. Dallas wets the bed 5-2.

-Wk 9 vs Kansas City Cheifs (career record 6-4)

Matchup to watch: DAL OL vs KC D

Result: KC is a scary team to battle with weapons on every defensive level and a run game that gouges. Dallas puts up a solid fight to lose by a time expiring fg. 5-3 on the season.

-Wk 10 @ Atlanta Falcons (career record 14-10)

Matchup to watch: Matt Ryan vs DAL DBs

Result: Dallas arrives in ATL dropping the last 2wks and shows up big time. While ATL is the defending conference champion, Elliott burst out and has a field day while keeping the DAL defense off the field. Cowboys bounce back and sit at 6-3.

-Wk 11 vs Philadelphia Eagles (career record 62-50)

Matchup to watch: Ezekiel Elliott vs PHI DL

Result: In my mind by this point Zeke is feelin himself and tearing the league up.  Nothing changes here as PHI gets put down early and kept there. DAL bumps to 7-3.

-Wk 12 vs Los Angeles Chargers (career record 6-4)

Matchup to watch: Melvin Gordon vs DAL DL

Result: Los Angeles had no teams a few yrs back and now find themselves with 2. Need to look for some wins however as DAL has a great defensive game and wins big. 8-3 and for the record no LA team will beat DAL this season.

-Wk 13 vs Washington Redskins (career record 68-48-2)

Matchup to watch: Norman vs Bryant again

Result: Towards the end of the regular season and teams are jockeying for position for the playoffs and seedings. DAL looks to bounce back and even up the series 1-1 on the year. Dallas jumps 9-3.

-Wk 14 @ New York Giants (career record 62-45-2)

Matchup to watch: NYG DBs vs DAL Wrs

Result: New York in the middle of their playoff hopes fights hard and wins a good game vs the Cowboys off an unfortunate mistake from Prescott. Dallas slides 9-4.

-Wk 15 @ Oakland Raiders (career record 5-6)

Matchup to watch: BeastMode vs DAL run D

Result: Oakland wins this one and takes ahold of the best record in the AFC. Dallas falls to 9-5.

-Wk 16 vs Seattle Seahawks (career record 10-6)

Matchup to watch: Dak Prescott vs L.O.B

Result: Dallas looks to hold on to the division lead and a win here secures the East once more. A thrilling back and forth 4th quarter ends with DAL having their hand raised. And still NFC EAST Champions. 10-5 on the yr.

-Wk 17 @ Philadelphia Eagles (career record 62-50)

Matchup to watch: Alshon Jeffries vs DAL DBs

Result: With the division locked up and the 2nd seed in the playoffs. Dallas plays it safe and rests most starters by the 2nd half. The Eagles knot up the season series and DAL finishes 10-6.

Clearly just my opinions on what should be a great year leading up to another division title and playoff berth. Be sure to stay tuned for the playoff predictions when necessary. What do you think? Does Zeke go for over 1,900 yds? Does Dez finish with over 9 tds on the year? Can Dak throw for over 4k? It's worth the wait, we are almost here. Til next time #CowboysNation.
