By Adam CollinsMany people were anticipating that the Cowboys would be playing next weekend in Super Bowl LI, but because we’re not this year, let’s look at the positives and preview the 2017 Pro Bowl. Yes, it’s not the outcome that any of us Cowboys fans wanted but we are so young and will have so many more Super Bowl chances with this team.
Is it the AFC vs. the NFC or the AFC vs. the Cowboys? It seems like the NFC Pro Bowl team is all Cowboys, and it kind of is. The Cowboys who made the Pro Bowl include: Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Travis Frederick, Ezekiel Elliott, Dez Bryant, Dak Prescott, and Sean Lee. It seems like we will have the NFC offense pretty much covered this Sunday. All three Dallas Offensive Lineman will be getting the start this Sunday, along with RB Ezekiel Elliott. Dak, Dez, and Sean will all get plenty of reps later in this game as well. This may not be the most intriguing game to most people and it’s understandable because guys obviously don’t go 100%, but this is supposed to be a fun experience for the players and not cause injuries. The reason I’ll be watching the Pro Bowl this Sunday is because it will be the last time I get to watch my favorite Cowboys suit up for nearly 8 months… The offseason is going to seem like an eternity because of the unfinished business this team has. If you weren’t planning on tuning in this Sunday, I highly encourage you to because, although we may not see the best football being played, it will be the last time in a while that we will get to watch our Cowboys go out there and have a blast playing football.
