Injuries and impact players for week 4
Chidobe Awuzie, Jourdan Lewis, Nolan Carroll, Kavon Frazier.
The already hurting secondary adds 4 of their DBs to the week 4 injury report. I would expect all of theseDBs to play in the week 4 match up Vs the rams, but I would not expect to see all of them at 100%. I would love to see CB Bene Benwikere step in and take participation in the week 4 match up.
Anthony Hitchens , Sean Lee.
Sean Lee is not a man you want to miss going into any kind of game, because he's the man that leads his defense. Not only does Sean Lee lead the defense he also leads in tackles (25) , and I would expect him and Jaylon Smith (24) to keep going at it for leader. Sean Lee is listed as out. Speaking of Jaylon Smith, Anthony Hitchens was limited all week in practice and is listed as questionable for the Sunday match up. If Hitchens plays at all, I would certainly expect Jaylon Smith to start and quiet honestly Jaylon Smith has earned that spot for all year.
Stephen Paea, Chaz Green.
Stephen Paea has been a force all year inside and I would expect non less entering week despite being limited in Fridays practice. Chaz Green has not practiced all week and is questionable for the week 4 match up. I do not expect him to play , so I would assume to see Jonathon Cooper in the starting LG spot. Quiet frankly I have been waiting to see someone new in the guard spot with how in efficient the OLine has been so far this year.
DeMarcus Lawrence – Versus the Cardinals Lawrence racked up 5 tackles and 3 sacks and is now the sack leader of the NFL (6.5). He hasn’t slowed down yet and I wouldn’t expect him to slow down just yet.
Jaylon Smith – Versus the Cardinals Smith accumulated 7 tackles along with perfect reads , fits, and angles to the ball carrier. Jaylon Smith has earned the Starting role as the MLB and I do not see anyone ( including Hitchens) to take that spot from him. Expect him to get even better as the year goes on.
Dez Bryant – Dez Bryant only was target 2 times for 12 yards and a touchdown, but that touchdown was a little sneak peek of the Dez Bryant we all know and love. This will be the first time all season that Bryant will not be going against at top 10 corner ( Talib, Jenkins, and Peterson). 3 of the next 4 secondaries(49ers , Rams, and Packers) each gave up a 100 yard WR in week 3.
Dak Prescott – Week 3 stats vs the Cardinals 13 for 18, 183 yards,2 TD , 1 rushing TD, 72% comp, 141.1 rating. After Dak’s week 3 two interception game in Denver , this was a great way to get going again and to help bring the Cowboys another W. I would definetlyexpect him to do even better vs the rams defense.
Zeke Elliott - vs the Cardinals Zeke rushed 22 times for 80 yards and a touchdown after a week 3 consisting of 9 attempts for 8 yards. I believe he will keep his legs moving and run for 100+ this Sunday vs the Rams.
La’el Collins – All year long Collins has done a better than expected job at tackle this year after the Cowboys moved him there from guard. He has handled many of great edge rushers very nicely , and he will be seeing a lot easier action coming off the edge this Sunday vs the Rams
