On Monday October 22nd the Dallas Cowboys sent the Oakland Raiders a 2019 first round draft pick in exchange for wide receiver Amari Cooper. Since joining the Cowboys Cooper has said “i love it here. ive been really happy since i got here. there are no complaints. i feel blessed. so, of course i would love to be a Dallas Cowboy for the remainder of my career.”

These are Amari Coopers stats in his 6 games with the Raiders
22 rec
280 yards
1 TD

These are Amari Coopers stats since Joining the Cowboys
53 rec
725 yards
6 TDs
70.1% catch percentage

Here is a better way to look at what has happened to the Cowboys since Amari arrived in Dallas.
Cowboys record before Cooper: 3-4
Cowboys record after Cooper: 7-2
Cowboys total offense before Cooper: 320 YPG
Cowboys total offense after Cooper: 362 YPG
Passing offense before Cooper: 183 YPG
Passing offense after Cooper 250 YPG
3rd down % before Cooper: 32% (30th in NFL)
3rd down % after Cooper: 48% (1st in NFL)

Not only Amari Cooper helped a struggling Dallas offense he also has drawn in more yards for RB Ezekiel Elliott. Now that defense’s have to focus more on a #1 WR in Dallas, there are more running lanes open for Zeke to find his way through. In 8 of the 9 games Amari has been with Dallas, Zeke has rushed for 70+ and 4 of them 110+.

When Amari Cooper was traded to Dallas, it increased their chance to make playoffs by 0%. Now the Cowboys are NFC East champs and are playing their playoff game Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Amari has quickly gained the love and support of the Dallas Cowboys fan base, and you can tell everytime he catches the football and the crowd lets out a loud “COOOOOOOOOOOOP”

Going into the first playoff game of 2019 for the Dallas Cowboys, WR Amari Cooper has AVG 80 YPG for them this season. but in the last 3 games Amari Cooper has only had 83 yards total. if the Cowboys want a fair chance at winning this game versus the Seahawks, they will need to get Amari going early in order to jumpstart this offense.
