A lot of people may hate me saying this but I feel like RG3 would be a solid backup QB option for the Dallas Cowboys. He went to school at Baylor and we could probably get him decently cheap.
If the Cowboys went after Kaepernick, I would not be very happy. It’s not because of the kneeling during the national anthem, it’s because he’s asking for $7-10M and I don’t think he’s that good. Heck, Dak barely makes over $500K right now…
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Signed by Bucs)
Unfortunately while I was writing this, Fitz was signed by Tampa Bay. I would have been in favor of signing Fitzpatrick if we could’ve got him at the right price.
Hill has been a viable backup QB in the league for awhile now. He backed up Matt Stafford in Detroit for awhile and came in and played pretty well for a backup. Due to his age, he should be pretty cheap so I’d be okay signing Shaun Hill.
Yes, I know it’s Johnny Football. Now although I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a flyer on Mr. Manziel, I wouldn’t think it would be worth the risk of all the off-field issues he causes.
Davis started 8 games for the terrible Rams in 2014 and won three of them. He would eventually lose his job, but I watched him play and I think he has a lot of potential. He’s also younger than a lot of the guys I mentioned. We could get him cheap and I’d be very happy If we went this route.
What do you think CowboysNation?
Do you think Kellen Moore is a good enough backup QB or do we need to try and find a veteran in case Dak has to miss time for some reason. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
