By Archie Nino IIIThe Dallas Cowboys square off at home against the 0-1 New York Giants in an NFC East showdown on Sunday Night. Both teams come in off wk 1 losses and will look to rebound in Dallas.
The Cowboys offense has alot to prove after a deflating matchup with the Panthers left many pundits writing them off only one game into the season. Qb Dak Prescott and company will face another tough test as the Giants have a strong defensive front with a secondary to match. Scott Linehan will be looking for redemption as the Cowboys playcaller after he faced a storm of scrutiny following a humiliating afternoon last Sunday. The New York Giants faced a top defense last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Odell Beckham Jr and Saquon Barkley respectively put up 100 yds a piece and will be looking to explode on a reeling Dallas team. DeMarcus Lawrence will look to set the tone on a suspect Giants offensive line and look to pick on OL Eric Flowers. New Yorks new HC Pat Shurmur has their offense looking sharp and will require full attention from the Dallas defense to stay in the game. Sunday Night Football is the place to be with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants set to light it up in what will be another chapter on the rivalry. Plenty of trash talk has fueled this week and no doubt emotions will be running high. New York safety Landon Collins referenced his Giants as the "real America's Team" and made it a point to call out Dallas Qb Dak Prescott by challenging him to beat them rather than having Ezekiel Elliott do the work. Dak responded "We'll be ready"....we can only hope so. Til next time #CowboysNation.
