By Adam CollinsThe NFL’s investigation of Zeke has taken forever. If you don’t remember, Elliott was claimed to have assaulted his girlfriend in a car in Columbus, Ohio. When the report got out in July of 2016, Zeke and his father, Stacy Elliott, strongly shot down the reports and denied all allegations. The authorities never filed charges at the time either.
Well, the investigation is still going on and probably not ending anytime soon. According to Adam Schefter, the NFL was still asking Elliott follow-up questions about the incident in January of this year… Also, Commissioner Roger Goodell said, "There's no timetable for the completion of the Ezekiel Elliott investigation." For many of us Cowboys fans, we want this to be put to bed, and I’m sure Ezekiel Elliott and his family want the same as well. Let’s hope the NFL can get to the bottom of this and clear his name before next season so that Zeke and the ‘Boys can worry about their Super Bowl LII run.
