By Owen MayhewThe boys down in Dallas are in desperate need of some help on the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys finished 26th in pass defense with only 9 interceptions throughout. They need to look into adding depth at the cornerback position if they want to repeat as NFC regular season champs. The 2017 NFL draft is the perfect reboot for the Cowboys as there are numerous players in the draft that can rejuvenate their defense and spark a championship run next season.
First Round Selection: Sidney Jones The Cowboys could look to many spots in the second round, but if they want to become even more deadly on offense they should look to upgrade their wide receiver core. The perfect selection for them at pick 60 is Malachai Richardson. Richardson is the perfect size at 6’3” 190 to be a sidekick to Dez. His numbers aren’t great because of the poor QB play at LSU last season, but with other successful WRs from LSU in the league (Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry) the Cowboys should take Malachai.
